Generation gap

Walkers crisps is one of my all-time favourite junk food since I came to the UK. It made up one of my components of ‘culture shock’ seeing how popular it is over here. Everyone eats it, from old people to working class to teenagers to kids. And they eat it all the time, when they’re hungry, when they’re not, when they just feel like munching something, when they finish their main course etc etc. Cheese and onion was my favourite flavour of all, and it still is.
It made me think back of old times. When I was much much younger back in primary school days, this was what I, and most of us used to eat.

I think those of us who were born in the 1980s might have invested our pocket money quite a number of times on these. They came with a little toy in it, made us jump in joy every time our parents bought us a box. If I knew back then that kids 20 years from then eat walkers crisps, I wouldn’t have been so perked up.
