The Chanel application for iPhone
The simple and classic Chanel interlocked double C logo is perhaps the first thing you would spot from afar. The Chanel application is nothing about purchasing any Chanel items online, but more of containing the latest videos and photos of the latest shows.
When you click on the app, the top-most row displays the video of the latest show, which currently is the Chanel ready-to-wear 2009/2010. Followed by looks and accessories, Chanel news and store locator.
When you click play on the video, you can watch in full-screen a few minutes of fashion show playing with background music. Never mind not being able to attend the real one, this video was captured and played in a way that it maximizes quality. You can watch it anywhere and anytime.
Under looks and accessories, you get to see each look as a whole and the magic begins here. When you flip the phone horizontally, the screen will display individual items worn or used by the model before. What a brilliant idea to whoever who thought of this! Bravo!
Next, this is something people usually do early in the morning during breakfast, either via television, radio or newspaper. Yes, the news. But this is not just any news, it’s Chanel news! It shows all latest news regarding Chanel and you can have it in English. Definitely something that I would do on a train or bus rather than staring out of the window looking at the same field and houses everyday.

All in all, I love this application, and I think someone else should come up with something similar for Louis Vuitton, Gucci and Burberry as well.
